5 Hilarious Police Reports About Animals

People aren’t the only criminals, animals can break the law as well. Police officers have to respond to emergency calls, and sometimes the police report turns out to be hilarious. Check out these hilarious criminal reports. We jokingly hope these animals have a good criminal defense lawyer!

STRAY CRIMINALS.

Monday night must have been quite the party. Police offers were called to investigate some supsicious activity around a Mill. Apparently somebody heard machinery running late at night when it shouldn’t have been. Criminal defense attorneys were lining up in hopes of another client, but what the police offers found took the air our of the criminal defense attorneys hopes. Apparently after calling the owner, it was found to be stray cats that accidentally turned on the heavy machinery.

SUSPICIOUS TURTLE

Trespass charges were luckily not filed on a suspicous turtle that was found on the front lawn of a woman’s house. She called the police were called and the woman was asking what to do with the upside down turtle. Police recommended she flip the turtle over, but much to the surprise of the lady, the turtle apparently had no arms or legs! Officers told the lady don’t worry, just leave the turtle alone, and it turns out the turtle fled in an unknown direction before trespass charges could be filed.

SQUIRRLY BEHAVIOR

It doesn’t take a criminal justice major to tell you that there’s always some bad apples in every population, no matter the species. One person called the police complaining about a belligerent squirrel who wasn’t letting him get to his boat dock. The caller said he knew he couldn’t do anything about it, but he just wanted to let the poilce station know what kind of squirrels are running amok in the town.

HIT AND RUN

This man probably tried finding a hit and run lawyer, but we’re pretty sure nobody was going to take his case. According to the police report, this man was ran over by a cow as he was riding his bike. Luckily he wasn’t injured, but the cow hit the bike so hard it was considered totalled. Hopefully he had some bike insurance!

GUN AREA

I never want to move where this police report was filed. Apparently Sapsucker Road has some gang activity, but not of the stereotypical gang members you’re thinking of. This disturbance was caused by animals with guns. We’re unsure what type of animals, what type of guns, but whatever happened we want to stay well away from!

TL/DR: Cat gets stuck behind refrigerator while family is on vacation but luckily is saved!

TL/DR: Natasha the cat slipped into the washing machine and was accidentally put through a whole 35 minute wash cycle.

Here’s another Veterinary Pet Insurance winner of “Most Weird Pet Insurance” claims award. At the time, Natasha was 6 months old and VERY curious cat. One day while one of the roommates of the house was filling the washing machine, Natasha jumped in as he left to get clothes from the other room. The Pet Insurance website goes on to say the roommate returned, threw the clothes, and started the wash cycle without realizing Natasha was in there. She went through the whole 35 minute wash cycle. Obviously cold, confused, and terrified after the ordeal, she was rushed to the pet hospital and treated for hypothermia and shock. Thankfully this was the extent of her problems, and made a full recovery. The Pet Insurance company checked up on Natasha later to fortunately find she made a full recovery and is as happy as ever!

5. ARIEL

TL/DR: Ariel the curious cat was actually trapped under the garage door after not getting out from underneath it in time.

Ariel the cat has always been one to leisurely follow her owners around while they perform outside work, the Pet Insurance company writes. One day, after finishing gardening in the backyard, Mr. Carter put away his tools and closed the garage. A few minutes later they heard their neighbor screaming for htem to open the garage as Ariel had apparently gotten stuck under it. Obviously distressed, Ariel was taken to the veterinary center where Ariel was given tests. She damaged her liver and would need to be kept over night. The stay was very expensive, but the CArter’s had actually just signed their pets up for the best value pet insurance a week before. A week after Ariel’s ordeal they were handsomely reimbursed by their veterinary pet insurance company.

Animals With a College Degree

Diploma mills are usually fake colleges with no real accredation that people can pay a certain fee to receive their own college diplomas. These can be any type of college diploma, from a doctorate to a simple associates degree. Companies that look to bust these fraudulant diploma mills will send in applications in an animals name, who then receive a diploma. So these are animals that have actually recieved a college diploma.

COLBY NOLAN

In 2004 Colby Nolan, a simple housecat, was awarded a college diploma from Trinity Southern University. Colby’s owners, some undercover agents looking to expose the college, submitted an application for Colby to receive a bachelor’s degree for only $299. According to Colby’s fake college application, she had previously attended online community college classes, worked at McDonalds, and babysat. Apparently this met the Trinity Southern University college requirements and Colby was granted the prestigous Bachelors degree. Colby was one of the first animals to be awarded a college degree!

WALLY

The same year that Colby was awarded a college degree, Wally the dog also earned a college degree as a part of a diploma mill sting. His owner, local Albany New York reporter Peter Brancato submitted an application on behalf of his dog in hopes of defrauding the bogus college. On it Brancato writes that Wally “plays with children everyday, teaching them life lessons like not forgetting to feed the dog.” Almeda University thought this was enough to award Wally a “Life Experience” associates degree. After Almeda University was exposed, multiple allegations were created and years of legal battles over basically nothing happened wasting everybody’s time.

ZOE D. KATZE

Zoe D. Katze is one very distinguished feline. She’s the only cat in the world to have been awarded a college doctorate degree. In 2001 her owner, Steve Eichel was able to obtain hypnotherapy certifications for Zoe. He did this in order to show how easy it was to obtain certificates for a profession that should require years of college and doctorate work. Dr. Zoe Katze’s story has now been published in many different magazines, and paved way for change in the ways to obtain hynotherapy certificates.

LULU

Lulu the dog did what most college students wish they could do, skip all the college classes and just get the degree. In a legal case having to do with fraudulant degrees, Lulu’s application was sent to Corcordia College in hopes of obtaining an MBA. Adding insult to injury, Lulu actually graduated with higher grades than the one of the witnesses in the case who said he had in fact attended the college. This hilarious turn of events basically sealed the case, and the story of the dog with an MBA is somewhat of a legend now.

MOLLY

Molly is another dog who was awarded a college degree, but the reason she was awarded the college degree was to defraud the diploma mill that gave it to her. In February 2012, yes diploma mills still exist even now, Molly’s application was sent to Lincoln Academy. This “academy” was selling fake diplomas to people that wanted to get into college but never graduated high school. In Texas, it’s illegal for colleges to discriminate against home schooled children, so people were buying fake degrees frim Lincoln Academy that said they were homeschooled. This was another story abotu a local news team defrauding the school, and upholding the high standards of Texas colleges.

ADVENTURES WITH YOUR DOG

Dogs are ourbest friends, so why not include them in our day-off plans. There are many different places that will allow you to bring a dog, as well as outdoor ideas where a dog would have a great time. If you’re unsure of where the closest dog-friendly hiking trail is, check out BringFido where they have a list of trails!

2. Beach

The beach is another great outdoor place to bring your dog. If they’ve never been to the beach before, dogs will be curious about what this huge water dish is doing in the middle of the earth. They’ll probably venture into the water and run away from the incoming waves. Other dogs love to play frisbee or fetch on the beach and running through the water. If you bring your dog to a beach, be sure to make sure it’s pet-friendly before you arrive. Once there follow rules like picking up after your dog, maintaining control of your dog, and most importantly – HAVE FUN!

Baseball is one of America’s favorite sports, so why not take your dog to the ball park? The scent of hot dogs and popcorn would make any dog’s day! More and more stadiums around the country are starting to have their own “bring your dog to the park” days. If you’ve got a well behaved dog, you’ll be able to enjoy a game while socializing your dog with other baseball fans. Ask your HR department on what the dog rules are to see if your can bring your pup. If you’re going to bring them, here’s a couple tips on how to prepare. Do an office check and make sure it’s doggy proof – pick up everything off the floor that could be dangerous for them. Bathe and groom your dog before they come in so they smell fresh and don’t ruffle any sensitive noses. Prepare a doggie bag of treats, toys and baggies to make sure your dog has the best day ever!

5. Dog Friendly Shopping Mall

More and more outdoor malls are allowing well behaved dogs to join their families as they shop. While this is an incredibly nice thing to do, malls also realize pets are a multibillion dollar industry so catering to families with pets might produce more sales. Plus, dogs just make everything better! So check with your local outdoor shopping centers to see if they allow pets. Shopping with your best furry friend could make for a nice day out and about!

6. Camping

For the more adventurous types, camping with a dog is a must do. Your pet will love the outdoors and overnight sleeping. You don’t even need to bring much else with you, so they aren’t too much of a burdern to bring. Here are some tips for camping with dogs: Bring extra food and drink for your pet. After a long hike they’ll need more water than usual to replenish what they spent and to cool themselves down. You can either let your dog sleep in your tent, or even buy them their own doggy camping tent like this one! Last but not least, make sure you’ve got a plan of where you’re going to leash your dog. Make sure they aren’t near a fire or trash, but aren’t far from you guys. Dogs love hanging out with the camping group!

Travelling with your pet doesn’t have to be a hassle! More and more hotels are allowing man’s best friend to stay the night, it just takes a bit of work to find these fine hotels. As long as you do the groundwork, taking your pet on vacation and staying in hotels will be a breeze. When searching, be sure to check to see if a kennel is required. Planning a vacation with your dog will definitely be a fun one.

8. Dog Park

This might seem like a no-brainer, but dog parks can be one of your dog’s favorite place to go. They’re able to socialize with other dogs, run around, and just be themselves. As long as you’ve got a behaved pup, there shouldn’t be any problem taking them to the nearest dog park. You yourself will meet other dog owners and might make some friends to set up play-dates outside of the dog park.

9. Swimming

There are certain breeds of dogs that LOVE the water and would love to be taken to a pond, pool, or any place where they can jump in. If it’s your first time taking a dog to swim, there are some things to definitely consider. Dogs, like humans, need to learn how to swim first. Don’t just toss them in and expect instinct to kick in.
